On Dec. 18 the board approved the second reading of IASB policy update #117 after a motion by Shayla Chambers and a second by Cooper; the vote was recorded in favor by all present members. The board also approved a Vision 2030 resolution (motion by Mertel, seconded by Cooper) and approved assignment of an older district laptop for employee use (motion by Kozak, seconded by Cooper), each carried by unanimous roll call votes.
Informational items included Superintendent Ketcham’s report that district certificates of deposit (CDs) were renewed at a 4.25% rate for a 12-month term and that the FY25 School Maintenance Grant certification had been filed and submitted to the Regional Office of Education. The minutes list these as informational updates rather than board actions requiring further votes.
