During the Nov. 19 meeting, Superintendent Bob Ketcham provided the board with a copy of the district's tentative FY24 tax levy and told members it was "pretty similar to last year." Ketcham also reported the district received a $937 grant from the Illinois Public Fund Risk Fund because there were no workers' compensation claims; the grant is intended for safety and educational programs.
Ketcham briefed the board that a district certificate of deposit is maturing on Dec. 15, 2024; he recommended rolling it over at the current rate for a 12-month term. The board later directed the superintendent to renew the CD at the current rate for another 12 months and to move door-related expenses to Health Life Safety (HLS) funds.
