Board President Greg Ruff presided over the vote after the board convened a closed session at 6:26 p.m. under the statutory exception for personnel matters (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)). The hires were presented as formal action items when the board reconvened in open session at 6:30 p.m., and each employment motion recorded the same five-member affirmative roll-call tally. The board adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
