Lostant board approves updated risk-management plan and policy 7:180, sets winter program for Dec. 11; maintenance grant work tabled

The Lostant Community Unit School District #425 board approved an updated Risk Management Plan on Sept. 25, 2024, by a motion from Mertel, seconded by Cooper, with a unanimous roll call. The board reaffirmed Board Policy 7:180 on a motion by Wiesbrock, seconded by Chambers; that motion also carried 7–0.
Separately, the board voted to move the winter program to Dec. 11 (motion by Cooper, seconded by Kozak). Discussion of FY25 School Maintenance Grant work items took place earlier on the agenda but the board tabled any action on those work items until the October meeting. The minutes record the grant work discussion but not specific projects.
