Santa Fe South Schools, Inc.’s governing board approved a package of routine and substantive items at its Feb. 24, 2025 meeting, voting unanimously on motions covering minutes, financial vendor payments, the 2025–26 academic calendar, a revised bullying policy, and personnel reports.
The consent agenda—covering approval of the Jan. 27, 2025 regular meeting minutes and vendor/encumbrance and vendor fund payment reports for Fund 11 (General Fund), Fund 60 (Activity Fund) and Fund 21 (Building Fund) for Jan. 1–31, 2025—was approved after a motion by Dr. Ed Frick and a second by Susan Agel. The board recorded the vote as 6-0 in favor (Susan Agel, Michael Brooks-Jimenez, Tyler Green, Dr. Ed Frick, Vicky Primeaux, Ericka Flores).
On other items, the board approved the Santa Fe South 2025–2026 academic calendar (motion by Susan Agel, seconded by Ericka Flores) and voted to adopt a revised bullying policy that adds specific types of bullying (motion by Ericka Flores, seconded by Vicky Primeaux). Both motions passed 6-0. The board also approved an Employee New Hire Report and an Employee Resignation/Termination Report covering Jan. 24–Feb. 26, 2025; the new hire list included para-professionals and several grade-level teachers, and the resignation report listed multiple para-professional and teacher departures. These personnel motions each passed 6-0.
The meeting adjourned at 6:47 p.m. after a motion by Susan Agel, seconded by Vicky Primeaux, which passed 6-0.
