Gerianne Mazrim, speaking for the reservoir committee, told the Village of Loami board the committee will hold fundraising events on Nov. 2 — a trivia night, silent auction and a 50/50 raffle — to raise money for a memorial bench honoring Al Mann.
Mazrim also proposed holding two cleanups each year around the reservoir and said the committee would like to dedicate the bench in May 2025. Mayor Steven Lambert asked that Mazrim coordinate with Public Works regarding the bench placement. The committee’s schedule and fundraising plan will guide next steps for placement and dedication logistics.
The board did not take a formal vote on the bench at the Sept. 12 meeting; follow-up will be handled between the committee and village staff.
