Children & Youth report shows 2025 placement data; county reviews placement costs

Kayla Borgen presented the Children & Youth fourth-quarter report for 2025, which included three graphs: Price County placement statistics in and out of the county; 2025 quarter-four placement types and costs; and annual placement costs. The board received the report and it was placed on file.
Fiscal staff later presented a nine-year expense comparison for high-cost placements, and the board discussed budgeting for 2026 in line with 2025 levels. The children’s placement data will be considered in ongoing budget planning and in discussions about staffing and program capacity.
