President Monica Beltramea moved to designate Superintendent Dr. David Johnson to develop a tentative FY25 budget (Motion: Youngman; Second: Baugh). The board also set the FY25 Budget Hearing for Sept. 18, 2024 at 6:45 PM (Motion: Baugh; Second: Youngman) and authorized Superintendent Dr. David Johnson to spend money prior to official budget adoption (Motion: Beltramea; Second: Baugh). Roll calls were recorded for each item.
In his administrative report Dr. David Johnson provided FY24 year-to-date financial figures: approximately 106.50% of projected revenue for FY24 received, totaling $6,309,703, and approximately 99.07% of projected expenditures for FY24 totaling $5,528,333.42. Those figures framed the board's discussion of upcoming budget preparation and the scheduling of the budget hearing.
