Selectboard asks for lower-cost redesign of proposed Lake Eden Recreation Area internet upgrade

The board reviewed a proposal from Bob Butler to upgrade internet coverage at the Lake Eden Recreation Area (LERA). Selectboard member Tim Bullard told the board he did not agree with the amount of equipment or the cost in the proposal and said he will design an alternative system intended to improve signal coverage at significantly lower expense.
Separately, the board signed contracts for the beach manager and assistants for the summer season. The minutes record that Ricky Morin picked up a new lawn tractor in Milton and that seven new picnic tables from Country Home Center were delivered to the site.
