Town staff provided routine operational updates. Marshal Ben Azcarate said the Fourth of July and fireworks event were orderly and that crews cleared an uninhabited riverside encampment; ongoing patrols target speeders and off-path e-bikes. "The Fourth of July went smooth. No issues on the Plaza," he said.
Fire staff reported more than 1,600 volunteer work hours last month and that seven volunteers are nearing Firefighter I certification after a summer academy. Acting Fire representative Cole Morris described a proposed fundraising plan to restore the historic fire truck. Community & Economic Development Director Eddie Salazar described progress setting up a new permitting and records-management system (iWorQ and Square 9) with online-payments and GIS integration, and said staff are preparing SOPs and recruiting a Community Coordinator to improve process continuity.
