Blakey gave community- and economic-development updates: the Chamber of Commerce will host an open house at Lynwood's Dunkin' on July 19; the local car wash remains under construction; BAM is awaiting an IDOT permit to move forward with its project; and the Muslim Cemetery is nearly complete. Blakey also promoted community events including Lynvinia (July 20) and Lynwood Fest (Aug. 10 at the Ho-Chunk property).
