Hotel interest tied to Equestrian University; board hears community events updates

Trustee Randall K. Blakey said he and Mayor Curry met with restaurant, entertainment and hotel brands pursuing locations in Lynwood and reported that "A Hotel brand is very interested in coming to the Village but wants to make sure the Equestrian University will be coming to the Village." He also noted the board attended the R & J Landscaping grand opening and a veterans memorial dedication at Liberty Park.
Trustee Blakey and the mayor discussed community events: a Movie in the Park fundraiser for the canine unit was planned at Lake View Park but was "winded out" (the meeting reported the event did not go forward); donations for the canine unit are still being accepted. Trustee Blakey also reported that Sandridge will host summer school and that local officials joined a "Prayer at the Poll" event at TF South.
