Trustees highlight new Lynwood businesses, proposed projects and upcoming events

Trustee Randall K. Blakey told the Board the community has supported the new Dunkin' and that a car wash remains under construction. He said BAM is awaiting Illinois Department of Transportation approval for its project and told residents the Village is "excited about the developments coming to the Village, i.e. The Equestrian University and the Muslim cemetery." He encouraged residents to participate in upcoming community events such as Cop on Top and the Education Fund Raiser.
Mayor Curry and staff also announced a ribbon cutting for R & J Landscaping on May 25 and that Village leaders are planning a parade with a picnic to follow. Engineer Robinson’s office (Britney McPherson) reminded residents of an open house on May 22 for the Bike and Pedestrian plan study to gather feedback on proposed recommendations.
