The department also recorded 537 building checks, 16 domestic incidents and 137 ordinance violations during that period.
The department announced it will conduct a Click It or Ticket campaign and focus traffic enforcement on distracted driving, speeding and occupant safety during the Memorial Day enforcement period from May 17–28. Community policing events include Cop on a Rooftop on May 17 at the Dunkin' at Torrence and Glenwood‑Dyer Road (5 a.m.–noon), Little League Opening Day Parade on May 18, and a K9 fundraiser/movie night May 24 at Lake View Park.
