Trustee Randall K. Blakey told the board a new grocery store is forthcoming to Lynwood and that it will be located in the Mantanky complex at 198th and Torrence. He said the complex's owners operate other businesses in neighboring municipalities and that a 198 Fitness location will occupy an empty lot at the same intersection.
Blakey added that B.A.M. (a tenant or contractor at the complex) is almost finished with construction and the project awaits final completion approval from IDOT. He said the village and developers are vetting contractors for the remaining work but did not provide a delivery date for store openings.
