The board approved several routine motions during the meeting. Speaker 3 moved and Speaker 5 seconded approval of the April 22 minutes; the board voted in favor. Later, Speaker 3 moved to approve an outside consumption permit for an establishment referenced as 'the American Lane' (motion seconded by Speaker 5) and the board approved the permit. The board also approved a liquor-license related outside-consumption action and voted to pay the general warrant of $634,223.78 (which included a school payment portion of $517,893) and to approve payroll at $39,784.33 following motions by Speaker 3. Finally, a motion to adjourn passed unanimously.
Several substantive agenda items were tabled for future meetings: a draft letter regarding 'Act 181,' the Hampton Housing engineering contract award and the proposed special-events alcohol permit (the chair will draft language to return on June 3). No executive session was held.
