The motion to adopt the standards was made by J. Wynn Fleener and seconded by Paul Kendall; the board recorded a 7-0 vote in favor.
Board members recorded unanimous support for adopting the model standards presented by the superintendent. The board did not attach amendments in the meeting; separate policy updates recommended by the Kansas Association of School Boards were presented for future consideration and will be considered at the next regular meeting.
