The Unified School District No. 422 Board of Education, presided over by President Ki Gamble, approved the minutes of the Jan. 14, 2019 meeting and voted to pay additional January bills totaling $232,818.70. The motions passed unanimously, each recorded as Yes: 7, No: 0.
The board also adopted a set of policy updates recommended by the Kansas Association of School Boards, covering policy codes including ADA, BCAC, CN, EBBE, GAAC, GAACA, GAAF, GACA, GAOC (Option 2), JCAC, JCDAA (Option 2), JGEC, JGECA, JGFG and KCB. The agenda had an added item, “Hire assistant forensics coach,” which was placed on the agenda but not acted on at this meeting and is scheduled for the next regular meeting.
