The group published a BearWise newsletter in the Valley Reporter and Front Porch Forum, and publicized Vermont Fish & Wildlife webinars on Sept. 30 and Nov. 6. The minutes also note a Bear Story Contest open through Oct. 12.
Commissioners included the MRV Bear Initiative in the operating-budget requests (part of the $6,750 requested for FCC operations) and identified outreach and education as ongoing commission priorities that will be funded in 2026 if appropriated.
