Commissioners approve county cybersecurity incident and disaster response plan

The Warren County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously March 10 to adopt the county's Cybersecurity Incident and Disaster Response Plan.
Chairman John R. Graham summarized the plan's objectives: to identify, respond to, mitigate, recover from and report cybersecurity incidents while maintaining continuity of essential county services. The plan sets out roles and responsibilities for employees, incident classification and response actions, disaster recovery and continuity strategies, coordination with legal and law enforcement entities, documentation and training requirements, and a requirement that all Warren County employees acknowledge receipt of the policy. Commissioner Richard Burley Jr. moved to approve the plan; Commissioner Allen L. Troy seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
