Warren County announced a countywide Scrap Tire/Trash Amnesty Day set for April 25, 2026, with the Solid Waste facility open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., or until collection bins reach capacity.
Chairman John R. Graham said tires will be accepted only from individual residents; the county will not accept tires from businesses. He told the board that the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) agreed to reimburse the local government up to $5,745.00 under the Scrap Tire Abatement Reimbursement Agreement. Commissioner Richard Burley Jr. moved to approve the agreement; Commissioner Allen L. Troy seconded and the vote was unanimous.
The announcement instructs residents to bring tires during facility hours but notes acceptance ends when bins are full.
