Recording Secretary Patience Bearse described the town website migration, saying the front end remains organized similarly but the back end has been significantly improved to make updates and content creation simpler. "The goal of the migration project was to have a site that was ready with the necessary functions on June 1," she told the board.
Bearse noted additional content build-out is ongoing, that the site includes a search bar that needs tagging to be useful, and that she does not spend her full 15 weekly hours exclusively on the site. Selectboard members asked about the search bar, the "I Want To" tab, and the budgetary impact of the website work; the manager said budget reallocations were made after the Principal Clerk’s departure and he does not anticipate overruns.
