Selectboard clarifies leftover flood aid: about $181,000 remains, some moved to highway reserves

Gulnick summarized state guidance that FEMA disbursed federal funds to Vermont and the State managed the grants; he relayed a direct line from the coordinator: "As for the $400,000 difference, that is yours to keep to spend on town projects such as mitigation work, improvements that are needed around the town, a piece of equipment, etc. Keep very good records of where that money is spent..." The board heard questions from residents about where the funds were placed and the manager identified the reserve transfers recorded.
