County announces Trash Amnesty Day, transit shelter near completion and telecommunicators proclamation

Trash Amnesty Day will be held April 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Solid Waste facility for trash and tires, with a tire grant covering tires for individual residents; collection will end when bins reach capacity. A transit bus shelter funded by the Georgia Department of Transportation and located adjacent to the Warren County Senior Citizens Center is expected to be completed within the next 60 days. Graham also presented a proclamation declaring April 12–18, 2026, National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week; the board voted unanimously to approve the proclamation. Tourism Coordinator Danyelle Rus listed upcoming events: a community yard sale April 18, Art on Main May 2, and a Juneteenth celebration June 20 in downtown Warrenton.
