LMIG safety bid comes in below allocation; county may add striping and signage

Chairman John R. Graham reported that bids for the LMIG Safety Action Program were received March 31, 2026 and that the lowest bid was $337,957.80. He said the Georgia Department of Transportation allocated just over $507,000 for the project; because the low bid is below the allocation, the county can use remaining funds for additional striping and signage.
Graham said the Safety Action Program will follow the standard LMIG funding process. The board did not take formal action on the item at the April 14 meeting.
