Mike, a public commenter, told the Colman-Egan Area School District board that he could not stay for a concurrent city council meeting and asked the board to work with the city to resolve neighborhood concerns. "The continuation of this complex next to Slough has created a hostile environment for the people that live in this neighborhood," he said, and asked the board to factor residents’ experience into its decisions.
Board members acknowledged the comment but did not take formal action during the meeting. Staff later summarized annexation logistics and the July 28 ballot date for a related annexation, and the board discussed publishing informational material that would explain what the ballot questions would do for affected residents.
