Board approves consent agenda, names superintendent district safety coordinator

Amanda Guilfoyle moved to "Approve the consent agenda as follows:" which included minutes from the July 1, 2024 regular meeting; listed encumbrances for Funds 11, 12, 21 and 22 (Fund 34 listed as NA); warrants and financial reports; required board continuing education hours; DPS 2023 Improvement Fund payments via Bank of Oklahoma Financial; fundraiser requests; the Pitney Bowes postage meter service lease renewal for year two of the agreement; and designation of Vince Vincent as Safety Coordinator and the district’s AHERA (Asbestos Hazards Emergency Response Act of 1986) designee for the 2024–25 school year. Amy LaSpisa seconded the motion.
The motion carried with the four members present voting yes: Amanda Guilfoyle, Amanda Nichols, Emily Case and Amy LaSpisa. The action places routine financial and operational items on record and delegates responsibility for asbestos compliance to Superintendent Vince Vincent for the coming school year.
