Oak Forest staff outline transit-oriented development planning around Metra station

The TOD discussion tied to resident aspirations for improved walkability and bikeability near the train station and to broader goals of filling vacant storefronts and expanding commercial tax revenue. Staff said the Oak Forest Hospital site has long-term redevelopment potential and that Cook County anticipates developing the hospital site over the next ten to fifteen years.
