The Crazy Horse School Board approved student participation in the 2026 BARR National Conference student performance trip to Rancho Mirage, California, scheduled for April 22–23, 2026. The board accepted $5,000 in financial support from BARR and authorized the school to fund any remaining costs not covered by BARR, within the limits of the current budget (motion 02-25-26-04).
The motion was moved by Valerie Adams and seconded by Cornell Conroy. The recorded vote was 4–1: Sue Yellow Elk, Cornell Conroy, Dawn Moves Camp and Valerie Adams voted yes; Francine Red Willow voted no. The motion’s language in the minutes states the school will “authorize the school to fund any remaining costs not covered by BARR, including transportation, lodging, meals, and supervision, not to exceed the amount approved within the current budget.”
