Board agrees to replace row of trees on CID property, subject to pricing and 2028 budget

Homeowner John D’Auguste described the history of trees on his property and said he was concerned about the effect on his home’s resale value if the trees were not replaced. After discussion the board voted to replace the row of trees that are being removed, subject to pricing and budgeting for the trees in the 2028 General Fund budget.
The motion to replace the trees was made by Mr. Shorma and seconded by Ms. Finzen and passed unanimously, 5-0. Staff was directed to pursue cost estimates and include the planned replacement in the 2028 bid and budget process; the board did not commit funds until the 2028 budget is approved.
