Veterans Commission sets vendor list and liability steps for June 27 event

Commissioners discussed vendor logistics for the planned June 27 Independence Day celebration and suggested inviting about five food vendors. Joe Pilch noted the recent closure of Ken Keeler’s pizza business, identified confirmed vendors (Joey’s hot dogs; Bofils barbecue) and asked members to contact Kona Ice and Jack Frost; he instructed that all vendors be emailed accurate start and setup times and be listed on promotional flyers.
The commission directed City Administrator Moses to provide a liability form that all vendors must complete. Free Byrd requested a larger stage; Pilch said he will ask Michael Bennett to evaluate whether a larger stage can be provided. James Hanlon arranged for 'Trucking for Veterans' to return for the event.
