The Duchesne County Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit for a manufactured-home repair business proposed by Alesha Mitchell on June 30, adding a required written sign-off from the Fire Marshal on fire suppression measures prior to operation.
Planner Duncan Kading presented the Findings Report and flagged traffic and nuisance topics, noting the limited capacity of Ledge Lane but concluding it "will handle the capacity of the proposed land use with limited impact." Staff and commissioners discussed dust, solid-waste and junk mitigation and the building permit process. Deputy Director Mike Gottfredson recommended adding a Fire Marshal approval condition.
Commissioner Reed Van Wagoner moved to approve the application with the Findings Report conditions and an additional requirement that "The Fire Marshal shall approve of fire suppression measures for the proposed land use operation in writing and provide a copy of this approval to the Planning Division prior to operation." Kevin Yack seconded the motion; Chair Nelson called for a vote and the motion carried unanimously.
