Planning Commission approves conditional use permit for recreation vehicle park

The Duchesne County Planning Commission on June 30 approved a conditional use permit allowing Brayden Oman to operate a recreation vehicle park on his property.
Duncan Kading, planner, presented the Findings Report on the land-use application, which is on file with the Planning Division. In discussion, applicant Brayden Oman said culinary water and onsite wastewater "are existing and sufficient," and he told the commission that privately owned mobile homes on the property will be replaced with RV pads as the homes retire. Chair Terry Nelson said the commission would accept trees planted as screening in place of a six-foot fence.
The decisive motion was made by Commissioner Connie Sweat, seconded by Commissioner Spencer Turnbow. Chair Nelson called for a vote and the motion "carried unanimously." The approval was made subject to the recommendations listed in the Findings Report, which will serve as conditions for the land use.
