The Deer Park City Council approved an Avista Electric service extension for undeveloped commercial property at the Deer Park Airport, 712 N. Cedar Rd., on Jan. 21. Airport Manager Darold Schultz told the council Avista will extend distribution services and the agreement requires an upfront payment of $37,477.48.
The motion to approve the agreement was made by Councilmember Jason Upchurch and seconded by Councilmember Billy Costello; the vote was 7-0, with council members present approving the payment pending legal approval of the parties to the agreement. Darold Schultz indicated he would confirm which party — the airport authority or the city — is listed as the contracting party.
