Mayor Dan O. Rankin told the council the town will assume responsibility for all grave digging beginning in October 2024. The mayor also raised administrative matters including a proposed road use charge applied per mile on vehicle tabs, an upcoming NWEIS summit on workforce housing, a Washington State Department of Health audit of the town water system, and an expected EDA reimbursement in October 2024.
The mayor asked council to consider whether to bring computers to future meetings or continue making copies in the office; no policy changes were adopted at the Sept. 11 meeting.
