The Darrington Town Council approved two interagency agreements Sept. 11 to move forward with a solar installation on the Town Hall/Library building. Reed Rankin moved to approve an agreement with the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services; Evan Craig seconded and the council voted unanimously to authorize the mayor to sign the agreement.
Council also approved an interagency agreement with the Washington State Department of Commerce to secure funding for the solar project. Evan Craig moved the commerce agreement and Julie Ford seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The motions authorize the mayor to sign both agreements; council took no further budget action during the meeting.
