Dixie School District board adopts agenda, approves consent items and hires bus drivers

The Dixie School District Board of Directors formally adopted the Sept. 23 meeting agenda and approved the consent agenda during its meeting on Sept. 23, 2024. On motions moved by Jacob Crenshaw and seconded by Kailynn Townsend, the board approved the August 26, 2024 regular meeting minutes, certified accounts payable and payroll for Sept. 30, 2024, and accepted the August financial budget status reports. The board recorded the actions as carried unanimously.
Superintendent/Principal Jacob Bang asked the board to approve hiring one regular bus driver and one substitute following a two-candidate interview process; Director Jacob Crenshaw moved the hiring motion and Vice Chair Nicole Novak seconded. The board again recorded unanimous approval. The board set its next regular meeting for Oct. 28, 2024, at 6 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
