Bang said the district discussed asking the departing driver to reimburse the district for CDL training the district provided and confirmed that a job posting and hire are necessary to restore regular service.
The board did not take a formal vote on emergency measures during the meeting; members instructed the superintendent to pursue outreach to neighboring districts and to post the vacancy publicly. The board set no specific deadline at the meeting for when transportation would be restored.
