The Labette County Unified School District 506 Board of Education on April 8 approved awarding the New Auxiliary Gym Duct Work Bid to Home Climate Comfort Service for $113,500. Rich Falkenstien moved to approve the bid and Brian Harlow seconded; the motion carried 4-0.
The approval followed a procedural change to the printed agenda and consent agenda to add the duct work bid as an action item. Board members did not debate the bid in detail during the public meeting; the motion and tally were entered into the record. The district staff will proceed with the contractor selection and next steps under the accepted bid.
