Superintendent Becky Bell reviewed current and proposed service agreements during the May 12 meeting. Bell said the District currently has an interlocal arrangement with San Juan Island School District that provides two days a month of coverage on Shaw, plus a personal services contract paying $1,250 for work beyond those days.
Bell presented a proposed change to move to one day a month under the interlocal agreement while increasing the District personal services payment to $1,750 for work outside that day. Bell characterized the net effect as saving the District approximately $5,000 per year while increasing what she would receive in personal services pay. The board discussed evaluation timing for the superintendent and scheduled an executive session for the following meeting to review the superintendent.
