City receives $45,000 USDA grant; sewer-lining engineering nears bidding stage

The city reported that the U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded Electric City a $45,000 grant to prepare a City-Road Safety Action Plan and a Downtown Corridor Plan. The minutes note completion of the final walk-through for the TIB streets project and that the RCO boating facilities funding application for improvements at Coulee Playland is due Oct. 31.
TD&H reported it is in the final engineering stage for the sewer-lining project and anticipates soliciting bids by the end of October. The city's application to the Public Works Board to replace Stevens Avenue and Lincoln Avenue was not funded; a debrief with the funding agency was scheduled for Oct. 15, 2024, according to the minutes.
