The City Council on Nov. 12 instructed the Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Joint Board to seek outside counsel to prepare a new interlocal agreement with the city of Grand Coulee for wastewater treatment services. The motion was moved by Mayor Pro Tem Robbin Boyce and seconded by Councilmember Don Redfield; the minutes record the motion as carried unanimously.
Council members also received an update that a community meeting on Nov. 6 discussed the formation of an Emergency Medical Services district; Mayor Diane Kohout is expected to update the council at a future meeting. The council’s direction to retain counsel initiates a drafting process that the WWTF Joint Board will report back to the council when a draft agreement is ready.
