Electric City approves water and sewer rate resolutions for 2025
Summary
The City Council adopted Resolutions 2024-17 and 2024-18 to set water and sewer rates for 2025, voting unanimously. Implementation tasks were assigned to Public Works and billing changes will take effect Jan. 1, 2025.
At its Nov. 12 meeting the Electric City Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2024-17, establishing water rates for 2025, and Resolution 2024-18, establishing sewer rates for 2025. Both motions were moved by Councilmember Don Redfield and carried without dissent among members present.
Public Works staff will coordinate updates to customer billing and public notices so the new rates can take effect on Jan. 1, 2025. The council recorded the actions in the consent and new business portions of the meeting minutes.
