The Electric City Council approved Resolution 2024-13 to increase municipal sewer connection charges and Resolution 2024-14 to raise water connection charges during its Oct. 17 meeting. Councilmember Don Redfield moved the sewer resolution, seconded by Councilmember Robbin Boyce; Councilmember Blake Martin moved the water resolution, seconded by Boyce. Both measures passed by unanimous consent.
Clerk/Treasurer Peggy Nevsimal submitted the procedural materials associated with the rate adjustments and the council did not request additional public hearings at this meeting. "A motion was made and seconded to approve Resolution 2024-13 increasing the connection charges for connecting to the municipal sewer service," the minutes record.
