CPMT removes two representatives and calls for parent representative recruitment

CPMT voted unanimously on June 25, 2026, to remove Jonathan Martin from the Parent Representative seat due to nonattendance since September 2025; JR Powell said he will notify the Board of Supervisors to begin a search for a new parent representative.
The committee also approved the removal of Emily Taylor as the Henry County Public Schools representative after she informed members she is moving out of the area and has accepted a new job. Both motions were carried by unanimous vote.
