CPMT to cover up to 2.5% private day rate increase; higher costs to be billed to local school districts

At its June 25 meeting, the Henry County CPMT set a billing policy for private day rate increases: CSA will cover up to a 2.5% increase on private day invoices; any amount above that threshold will be submitted to the local school district for payment.
JR Powell moved that CPMT submit bills to the local school district for any private day invoices over 2.5%; Robert Hiatt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The minutes record that CPMT "discussed the private day rate increase and the decision was made that CSA would pay up to the 2.5% increase on private day invoices and the remaining balance would be sent to the schools for payment."
The policy applies to private day invoices billed to CSA and is intended to limit CSA exposure to incremental rate increases beyond the 2.5% threshold. CPMT members noted that staff and local school fiscal officers will need to coordinate billing procedures to implement the direction, and that specific invoices will be handled case-by-case under existing funding-request review processes.
