Local leaders plan Town Green stakeholder meeting and tap RiverCOG technical assistance

The group emphasized adopting best practices, structuring projects for broader participation, and approaching the Town Green as a single, coordinated public‑space project rather than separate initiatives.
A special stakeholder meeting is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and will invite the DPW Director, Board of Selectmen and other stakeholders to gather input before staff prepares an initial plan. Separately, Peter Gillespie said RiverCOG has retained Community Resource Management Services to provide on‑call EDC assistance; each member community is eligible for six hours of those services from January through June and staff will determine how Westbrook can use that assistance.
