Planning commission approves rezoning requests, continues two items to Aug. 19
Summary
At its July 1 meeting the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission approved several rezoning requests and a preliminary plat, continued two county rezoning items to Aug. 19, and continued a school plat to July 15 after neighbors raised drainage concerns.
The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission voted on multiple zoning and plat items at its July 1 meeting at Tulsa City Council Chambers, approving several staff-recommended rezonings and a county subdivision preliminary plat while continuing two county rezoning applications to August and one local plat to July 15.
The commission voted 10-0 to continue CZ-595 and PUD-881 (county items related to 2808 E. 151st St. S.) to Aug. 19 at the applicant’s request. It recommended approval, by 10-0 votes, of zoning requests Z-7863 (rezoning to CG along E. 11th St. S./Route 66 frontage), Z-7864 (rezoning to RM-3 for a proposed 112-unit multifamily project), Z-7865 (rezoning to CS to allow redevelopment including a gym), Z-7867 (rezoning multiple lots to IM for moderate industrial uses), and Z-7866 (rezoning to RS-4 with an optional development plan). The commission also approved CPA-132, a land-use amendment to change ±9.58 acres from Multiple Use to Neighborhood, and approved the preliminary plat for Stone Lake Phase III (39 lots on ~36.90 acres).
Several motions recorded the mover and seconder and the roll-call tallies in the minutes. For example, the minutes record approval of Meeting 2963 minutes by motion of Commissioner Bulmash, second by Commissioner Cue, vote 9-0-1 (humphrey abstained). The Tulsa Classical Academy minor plat (Item 10) was continued to July 15 after neighbors raised stormwater and erosion concerns.
