Montse Chang, speaking on behalf of the PTO, announced January is Board Member Appreciation Month and presented thank-you cards and treats to the board. Superintendent Milt Dennison suggested rescheduling the 'Meet the Board' session; the board and PTO agreed to hold it on March 11.
During the comments period, Board Member Angus Anderson announced he will not seek re-election when his current term ends later this year and encouraged the district to begin recruiting a replacement director. Lisa Young also commended the newspaper article shared earlier by Principal Katie Chavarria. No formal action was taken on board recruitment at this meeting.
