Chairman Farman summarized House Bill 19‑68, which authorizes the state to accept roughly $2,600,000 from three settling entities into Tennessee’s opioid abatement fund. Farman said the fund has previously received about $460 million that has been distributed to counties and municipalities.
Members heard no additional witnesses and raised no substantive questions. The subcommittee voted to send the bill to full judiciary by an 8–0 vote.
